Armoury Crate non recognizing devices and unable to control RGB

    Hi,

Just upgraded to an AMD Ryzen 3700X on a Crosshair Eight WiFi mobo.

Yesterday RGB and armoury crate worked fine.

Had to update BIOS and some general drivers and Armoury crate no longer recognizes my motherboard (this sercice just works with ROG devices or something forth those lines) and when I click the AURA push I get the message ''connect at least i aura sync compatible device'') which I have:

    -RAM
    -mobo
-Thermaltake fans and RGB strips on a Thermaltake Aura Sync hub which worked yesterday just fine

    -EKWB velocity rgb waterblock
-Bitspower Aura sync uniform menses indicator

all of these are eiter stuck on cherry-red or rainbow unicorn barf.

What is causing this? Take already tried reinstalling, clearing CMOS, rubber boot reinstall, CCleaner registry cleaner, manual deletion of remnants I could find, REVOuninstaller,.... nothing works.

    Any ideas?

Have likewise tried installing only AURA SYNC just that doesnt even starting time saying that the auraservice is non running even though I followed all the guides I could find online for installing that plan.

Why does none of this work??????

Yup. Armoury Crate has been sick for a lot of people--and if you lot look at the Microsoft store reviews, it is but plain bad. When I first built my latest rig I uninstalled it because it was garbage. So I afterward reinstalled information technology when LiveDash died, and for five or six weeks the lighting and LED control for my Ryujin and R6EO motherboard worked like a dream. Then bam, information technology died. Solution: uninstall. Since LiveDash doesn't piece of work anymore either there is nothing decision-making my lighting or LED.

You have to await this from Asus. The hardware is bang-up, but the software is ordinarily horrible--and that is being kind. In my case, I will be debating my side by side build whether or not to stick with Asus.

    Hey mate,

get to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\LightingService" and delete the file "LastProfile.xml". Then reboot and (hopefully) thank me here.

    Cheers.

Aforementioned issue here. It is deplorable when software that is created by the people you bought your motherboard from isn't detected at all. You have to stop and enquire yourself how is this fifty-fifty possible?

This doesn't work with the newer Amoury Crate at present. It was a gear up for the Aura Sync/lighting though

How to Fix ROG Aura Sync not seeing other devices :-

Earlier conveying out this gear up remove existing Aureola & Aura Service (lightingservice) via control panel,

goto your current lightingservice installer binder, open command prompt in the aac binder (I used LightingService i.07.60)

    /Lighting_Control_1.07.60/LightingService/aac

The following fix is used if the VGA rgb is non showing equally a example, the same ready applies to all missing devices, only the GUID you look for is different and the exe you run,

    In control prompt do :-

    AacVGASetup -install -log log.txt

    Follow the screen prompts,
At present if you lot become a Fault when trying to install this is skillful, it mean this is the cause of the issue.
Open log.txt in a text editor

in log .txt await for detected related bundle , copy the GUID with out { and } and then load regedit

[4FB4:4FB8][2019-12-23T03:22:54]i103: Detected related package: {CF8E6E00-9C03-4440-81C0-21FACB921A6B}, scope: PerMachine, version: iii.3.43.0, language: 1033 operation: Downgrade
[4FB4:4FB8][2019-12-23T03:22:54]i103: Detected related package: {0E536061-3B55-4D45-BF58-0BDA261C94B0}, scope: PerMachine, version: iii.3.70.0, language: 1033 operation: Downgrade

in regedit edit click CTRL+f for search , paste the first GUID listed equally "Detected Related packet' in to search ,
Delete each occurrence of that GUID,
When you get to the end do the aforementioned with whatever other GUID listed in log.txt

In one case you have removed the GUID install ID'due south for the hardware not showing repeat the above install procedue with a new log file eg:-

if i was doing Motherboard drivers for example and have already removed the GUID's (example guid 0E536061-3B55-4D45-BF58-0BDA261C94B0 )
I will now re-install the drivers from the same driver pack (eg stick with drivers from one version)

    AacMBSetup -install -log-new.txt

open up the new log file and make sure it does not say "Detected related package" anywhere, if it does so echo the GUID deleting with the listed GUID from the log file, only ones next to "Detected related bundle" ,

The reason the system cannot find other Aura sync devices is because of mis-matched drivers being installed ,
Version 1.05 and 1.06 don't use this driver method so lightingserver.exe reports the right hardware simply wont take input from Armoury crate simply will from Aureola application,

Fix for Blocked Exe warning, cannot uninstall warning
driver version i.07.22/i.07.35/1.07.35/one.07.57 are not signed so windows will not allow you to run the executable(Exercise not install these versions) , you volition get a blocked file warning,
    to fix this :-
Click windows primal and blazon command prompt, right click on command prompt and select run as ambassador ,
    in prompt blazon

and then click programs/uninstall programs and and then remove Aura and Arua Service

    close control panel.

I have been able to utilise this fix repeatably to many systems, Yous have to make certain to remove all the guid'south for the drivers in aac folder one by 1, once removed you lot can install that driver pack normally and upgrade normally.

Removing the GUID allows the wix installer to overwrite newer versions with the older ane which normally does not happen resulting in mis-matched versions between drivers (the drivers in aac folder not the Lightingserver which talks to those drivers)
Once yous have reinstalled your working Aura sync and checked it's showing your devices and so you tin can install armoury crate utility from Asus site.

    Couple Of notes:
Once you take removed all the Aac based drivers you can reboot, this should flush lighting service out but I take applied the set up many times without and it functioned right away, no reboot.

You lot can delete the Lastprofile.xml before installing Aura (which in turn installs lightingservice) , when yous install Aura this file should reappear, it'due south a text file you tin can open up and it should list all your devices institute, this is a afterwards effect file and has no bearing on what the arrangement sees so replacing this file with i from a working organisation fixes nothing, you have to remove & reinstall the aac drivers for versions i.7.60 and higher to function correctly in Armoury crate ,

Enjoy your Fixed for skilful Aureola Sync/Armoury Crate

THANKYOU for a couple of things:
    1. outlining the architecture of the service and then people can at to the lowest degree attempt to troubleshoot it in futurity
    2. describing this in plenty detail that I can try this at home.
iii. Saving me from ASUS Back up Commonwealth of australia who told me I needed to RMA my board to fix this software issue.

If I can inquire you lot two questions, as you seem to accept a good agreement of the interconnectedness of this suite of apps:
    1. For someone who wants to just "start all this from scratch" can you signal in the direction of either another post or perhaps blazon out a suggested list of install packages and order?
two. From my digging and reading your mail, I have a feeling this will prepare the "E7C8DA76-C9B9-4297-8681-DD878330AFE7.dll non plant in system" error that I am having, do yous hold/disagree?
